Tenders are invited for 4p-type partnership (capital shared between private promoters and producers supported by prodefi)
The overall objective of PRODEFI is to improve the incomes and the food and nutritional security of poor rural populations (particularly women and young people) from its areas of intervention. Trie aim is to include these populations in remunerative and resilient sectors by supporting production and promoting public-private-producer partnerships favorable to the poor. Five sectors are concerned: market gardening, poultry farming, goat milk, non-timber forest products (NTFP) and continental fishing. In this context, the Project plans to carry out support for the development and promotion of partnerships which will focus on the establishment of formal contracts, based on the principle of sharing risks and benefits, between producers on the one hand, and the other players in the sectors, upstream or downstream of production, on the other hand. To do this, the Project is launching, for the whole of 2023. a call for proposals addressed to private promoters working within the said sectors, with a view to submitting requests for 4P type partnerships (shared capital between a private promoter and PRODEFI target producers). For this year 2023, the Project will primarily finance proposals relating to the following different themes: (I) The economy of water resources and/or its concerted management; (ii) support infrastructure for the development of poultry farming; (ill) sustainable and qualitative management of fodder and NTFPs; (lv) taking Into account climatic constraints In Infrastructure choices; or (v) support for the development of milk sector.
